inspiration: pride and prejudice

i watched my all-time favorite movie again, and i just had to share it with all of you. it is just such a bundle of pretty things-- from white Regency gowns to the soft, wispy buns, Kiera Knightly, Jane's blonde hair, the english accents, the piano and the violin in the background, the neoclassical architecture, Mr. Darcy!
it makes me want to wear my hair back and get lost in some green wood with a book in my hand. so lovely.
i have also read the book, and i honestly could not tell you which i prefer. focus pictures did such a superb job in recreating Regency England, with its elegant little touches and general calm. pride and prejudice is romantic, sweet, not raunchy, sentimental, intelligent, everything you look for in a good movie.

goodness, i have such a crush on mr. darcy.
but really, beautiful movie.

"it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."

"a lady's imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, form love to matrimony, in a moment."
